My Review Of The Great Wolf Lodge!

I just returned from a fantastic few days with my husband and two children, at Great Wolf Lodge! Literally just a minute or two off of I-80, just 2 hours of driving from New York City, the ease of our trip getting there matched an easy, breezy time for our entire stay. In the midst of an otherwise nondescript secondary road, the Great Wolf sign appears signaling you to turn, where just up the hill and around a curve the lodge sits dramatically atop with a majestic, yet authentically rustic presence. The hotel entrance is dramatic, without at all being pretentious. Once inside is a happy, bustling lobby adorned with a disney-like clock tower and woods animatronics which come to life at bedtime and for morning wake-up. There are comfortable leather couches, rustic wood slab and log furnishings, and a very large, yet cozyish fireplace which burns around the clock.

Upon check in I was greeted by a wonderful woman named Peggy, who could not do enough for us, with a professional and really wiling to satisfy attitude, in spite of our many quirky little requests regarding our rate, room type and location options. Upon consulting her manager, it started to become obvious that this great staff was, and continued until check-out to be completely, consistently, professional, competent and simply very kind. In In my next article I will explain why this is not just a run of the mill hotel that you have learned to expect from the chains. Stay tuned for a whole series of reviews that will give you a seasoned traveler's review that you can take to the bank.

My goal is to cut through all the baloney and help you pick a vacation that will leave you smiling.
